Immigration & Tribunal Document Translation

English translations of the supporting documents for visa and citizenship applications and review proceedings.

What we translate

A visa or citizenship application can draw on a person's whole life history, and many of those records are in another language. A Chinese 户口本, a Vietnamese sổ hộ khẩu, a Thai house registration (ทะเบียนบ้าน), a Korean 가족관계증명서, a Japanese 戸籍謄本, an Iranian birth certificate booklet (شناسنامه) and an Indian ration card each show family relationships and residence in their own way. We translate supporting documents for applications and for review proceedings.

What makes these documents tricky

Immigration evidence has to line up. The same names, dates and places appear across a dozen documents, and an inconsistency between translations can raise questions that have nothing to do with the original records. Tell us the spellings used in your passport and visa documents, and we will use them consistently across your order. Dates are translated as written, including dates in the Persian, Thai Buddhist or Japanese era calendars. Household registers often contain stamped amendments and cancelled entries, and these are translated and marked as they appear.

Who needs it

The department and the review tribunal set and update their own instructions on translated documents, so check the current requirements for your application, or ask your migration agent, before you order.

Certified or professional translation?

Choose certified for anything you will lodge with an application or a review. It is translated and certified by a NAATI certified translator. Choose professional translation (non-certified) for review, for example to decide whether a document is relevant to your case. Company certification by Language Masters Pty Ltd is available on request for added assurance of accuracy.

How it works

Upload a clear scan or photo of every page, including blank-looking pages of a household register that carry stamps. Standard identity and civil documents in many languages are priced instantly. Large evidence bundles, such as chat histories or many letters, receive a written quote by email. Your translation is delivered by email as a PDF.

Translation, not legal advice

We translate what your documents say. We do not advise on their legal effect, and we cannot confirm whether a particular court or agency will accept them. Please check requirements with the receiving body or your lawyer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you translate chat messages and social media posts?

Yes. Upload screenshots or exports and tell us which conversations you need. Large sets receive a written quote by email.

Do I need every page of my household register translated?

Check the instructions for your application or ask your migration agent. If you are unsure, upload the whole register and tell us which pages you need.

Can you help me with my visa application?

No. We are translators, not migration agents or lawyers. We translate your documents; a registered migration agent or lawyer can advise on the application itself.

My names are spelled differently across my documents. What should I do?

Give us the spelling in your passport when you order and we will use it consistently across every translation.

Need a Legal Document Translated?
