Property & Land Title Translation

Translations of overseas title deeds, registry extracts and property contracts, and Australian property documents for use abroad.

What we translate

Property records are among the most locally flavoured documents there are. A Chinese 不动产权证书, a Vietnamese land use right certificate (the pink or red book), a Spanish nota simple or escritura de compraventa, an Italian atto di compravendita with its visura catastale, a Greek purchase deed, a Polish księga wieczysta extract and an Indian sale deed each describe ownership in their own terms. We translate the full record, including plans, schedules, registry endorsements and stamps.

What makes these documents tricky

Property documents are full of detail that has to survive translation intact. Lot and parcel numbers, cadastral references, boundary descriptions, areas in local units and land use classifications are reproduced exactly as they appear. Encumbrances, easements and rights of use may have no direct Australian equivalent, so we translate the term the document uses. Older deeds can be handwritten, stamped many times over or written in an older form of the language, and we mark anything that cannot be read rather than guessing.

Who needs it

Lenders, registries and courts set their own requirements, so check with the body you are submitting to before you order.

Certified or professional translation?

Choose certified if the translation will be given to a bank, a court, a registry or a government body. It is translated and certified by a NAATI certified translator. Choose professional translation (non-certified) for reviewing a lease or contract before you commit to it. Company certification by Language Masters Pty Ltd is available on request for added assurance of accuracy.

How it works

Upload every page, including plans and the reverse of any page with an endorsement. Title certificates and short registry extracts in many languages are priced instantly. Sale agreements, leases and long deeds receive a written quote by email. Your translation is delivered by email as a PDF.

Translation, not legal advice

We translate what your documents say. We do not advise on their legal effect, and we cannot confirm whether a particular court or agency will accept them. Please check requirements with the receiving body or your lawyer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are land areas converted into square metres?

Areas are translated in the units the document uses.

Are site plans and maps translated?

Labels and text on plans are translated where they can be read. Include the plans in your upload so they can be priced with the rest of the document.

Can you translate an Australian lease for an overseas tenant?

Yes. Upload the lease and choose the target language. Leases receive a written quote by email.

Can you tell me whether the title is clear?

No. We translate the record as it stands. Questions about ownership, encumbrances or the effect of a contract should go to a lawyer or conveyancer.

Need a Legal Document Translated?
