English translations of Urdu family, court and land documents from Pakistan, and Australian documents translated into Urdu.
Most Urdu legal documents we translate come from Pakistan, where family matters pass through family courts and union councils, and land records are kept by provincial revenue departments. Many official forms are bilingual, with the printed headings in English and the entries handwritten in Urdu.
Urdu is written right to left in the Nastaliq style, often by hand, and handwriting on a nikah nama or fard can be difficult to read. We translate every field, including the clause-by-clause entries in a nikah nama such as the amount of mahr (مہر), and mark anything unreadable as illegible rather than guessing.
Several documents can relate to one divorce: a talaq nama, notices sent to the union council and the chairman's certificate. Each is translated separately and keeps its own title, because the reader needs to know which one they are looking at. We do not comment on what any of them mean in law.
Names may be recorded with the father's name instead of a surname, and English spellings vary, so send your passport or Computerised National Identity Card with your order. Stamp papers carry printed values, serial numbers and vendor stamps, all of which are reproduced.
We translate Australian documents into Urdu: powers of attorney for property in Pakistan, statutory declarations, divorce orders and police checks. Pakistani authorities often want documents attested or apostilled as well, so check with the receiving office before you order.
A nikah nama is usually a long form printed on both sides, and the registered copy held by the union council may differ from the copy kept by the family. Upload the version you have been asked for, front and back. Computerised marriage and divorce certificates issued through NADRA are largely in English; send them with the Urdu originals so we can tell you what needs translation. Stamp-paper agreements often carry endorsements written on the reverse, which should be scanned too.
We translate what your documents say. We do not advise on their legal effect, and we cannot confirm whether a particular court or agency will accept them. Please check requirements with the receiving body or your lawyer.
Yes, if the scan is clear. Every column is translated, including witnesses, mahr and the delegated right of divorce entry. Anything unreadable is marked as illegible.
